We came to the Boat House Bistro and Bar to grab some lunch and we decided to get the Scotch Pie, Chips and baked beans. It was quite busy when we walked in and it looked like it was quite popular. We found a table that was clean but I do have to admit that I didn't like how unfinished it looked with the furniture and broken appliances. The staff here were lovely and they were quick with our order. I enjoyed the flavour of the scotch pie and the baked beans, the chips could have been cooked a touch longer and it wasn't seasoned but there was a selection of sauces and salt and pepper to compliment our meals. When I asked for the toilet code, they gave me a RADAR key and the toilet was quite clean, but cold. I would recommend coming here for a spot of lunch, it was a good value and we had a lovely time here, while the rain was on. It's right next to a bus stop so it's easy to access via public transportation.

Had an excellent hangover cure meal here...Salmon and Avocado salad with a sidebowl of chips. Really well presented, a decent latté coffee and I felt human again. The only rreason I posted 4 stars for the atmosphere was that you have to run a gauntlet of smokers to get to the non smoking outside area.

Stopped by to have a snack on my way back from the doctors. Everyone in there was friendly and it wasn't a long wait for lovely fresh hot chips. Will make sure to go back again soon to check out the menu properly with a friend.
